Join Our Team as an Import/Export Co-ordinator!

Job Title: Export/Import Co-ordinator
Department: Killgerm Sales
Reports to: Export Manager
Location: Head Office, Ossett
Supervisory responsibilities: None

The main purpose of this role is to assist the Export Manager in the smooth running of the Export/Import department. While the role is predominantly export orientated, a degree of flexibility will be required to assist other members of the team arranging Import shipments and any relevant duties that might arise. On a day-to-day basis you will be expected to arrange export shipments from start to finish, liaise with our nominated customs broker, issue clearance instructions as and keep accurate records for auditing purposes.

Main duties/responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing and progressing export customer orders, enquiries and quotations.
  • Creating export shipping documents using Formwise – worldwide.
  • Organising paperwork for exported products – worldwide.
  • Keeping accurate records for auditing purposes.
  • Liaising with our customs broker and issuing customs clearance instructions when required.
  • Checking every custom entry for accuracy and request amendments when required.
  • Negotiating freight costs and contact freight agents etc. as necessary.
  • Finalise certificates of shipment and other documents as required.
  • Liaise with Accounts department regarding freight invoices and other purchase invoices as required.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of customer’s price lists.
  • Respond to website enquiries and liaise with distributors.
  • Work together and liaise closely with PestWest export department.
  • Organise shipments of both PestWest and Killgerm
  • General administration
  • To ensure the Company operates within the relevant export laws and procedures.
  • Assisting other members of the team as and when required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience and knowledge in Exports
  • Computer Literacy Skills – Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Customer Service skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Organisation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Desirable

  • Experience and knowledge of Dangerous Goods is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of INCOTERMS and HS Code selection.
  • Previous experience of a Sage/Formwise system is desirable
  • A driving licence is preferred
