    About us
    The NPTA was established in 1993, we are a leading not for profit trade association based in the East Midlands. We are dedicated to increasing standards within the pest control industry through supporting our members and ensuring they remain compliant and providing high quality training.

    The NPTA are creating a new and exciting role and are looking to recruit a technical support officer to help the association in our ever-increasing success.

    The successful candidate will carry out training; provide technical support for members; attend industry meetings and events and undertake audits. In fact, it would be reasonable to say that no two days are ever the same!

    This will be a diverse and at times, challenging but rewarding role, but is guaranteed to bring job satisfaction. The role would suit someone with excellent communication skills as well as having sound technical knowledge.
    Main roles and responsibilities
  • To provide support to ensure that servicing members are working to industry codes of practice and are not bringing the association into disrepute.
  • To carry out accredited member audits in the UK & Ireland according to a defined schedule. This may involve overnight stays as the role dictates.
  • To support members to ensure compliance to Pest Control Regulatory standards and relevant legislation.
  • To develop and deliver training packages for the association. This may involve overnight stays as the role dictates.
  • To provide advice & Support to the membership on a wide range of technical queries.
  • To write and compile articles for the association newsletter on a monthly basis.
  • To support the association in the allocation of training and any other business-related matters.
  • To support the association when co-ordinating on the road training days and PestTech. Attendance at these events and overnight stays is expected.
  • Undertake any training required or any other reasonable requests made by association.
  • To support members via on-site problem solving.
  • Qualification and skills
    Essential; IT literate (MS Office PowerPoint; Excel and Word) and RSPH level 2/3 or equivalent is the standard minimum. Public speaking and excellent communication and training skills are desirable.
    Experience
    At least 3 years relevant pest control experience, ideally in a field role.
