Killgerm Hosts Another Successful “On the Farm Day” at Hurcott Farm
Killgerm’s much-anticipated On the Farm Day returned last week with resounding success, this year taking place at the picturesque Hurcott Farm in Ilminster. Under clear blue skies, pest professionals gathered for a full day of hands-on learning, networking, and some well-earned food and fun.
Supported by BASF, the event featured five practical, expert-led sessions designed to enhance field knowledge and operational skills:
  • Grain Store Baiting – Duncan Bosomworth
  • Environmental Risk Assessments – Tim Bloomer
  • Covered and Protective Baiting – Alex Wade
  • Mole Control Techniques – David Archer
  • Red Tractor talk – Kate Cross
Attendees enjoyed a sizzling BBQ breakfast and lunch, with bacon butties and burgers fresh off the grill. The day wrapped up with a refreshing treat—ice cream all around.
Feedback from delegates was positive, praising both the quality of the training and the relaxed, interactive environment.
On the Farm Day continues to be a standout event in the pest control calendar—delivering expert knowledge in a real-world setting.
