Mark Moseley – PCN Interview
If you were watching the launch of the latest series of The Apprentice last night, you may have spotted a familiar face in the pest control industry. Taking part in Britain’s toughest job interview is Mark Moseley, Director of Pestgone Environmental Ltd.
Beginning his career in the army and then private security, Mark has worked all over the world, from Syria to Afghanistan to DR Congo, dealing with royal family members and celebrities. After working with pest controllers in the army and missing home, Mark returned back to the UK seven years ago to begin his career in pest control.
With a potential investment fund of £250,000 on the table, and a partnership with legendary business mogul Lord Alan Sugar, we asked how he’d use this: “To grow and expand the business throughout London”, he says. As for the benefits of the TV exposure for his own business and the rest of the Pest control Industry – “Obviously I hope it will get PestGone some more business” he says, “But also to educate more people throughout the country that the industry is here to help, and it can be beneficial to everyone – from farmers to business owners.”
As for advice for anyone looking to start out in the pest control industry – Mark advises “Start small, get to know the industry, work as a one-man band for 18 months then start to expand your business.”
Looking forward to an exciting new year, what are Mark’s goals for Pestgone for 2023? “To expand my business throughout London and be known as the best in the business.”
We are looking forward to seeing Mark in the rest of the series and wish him the best of luck!
