    Role: Chief Executive Officer

    Location: Eastwood, Nottingham, UK (Hybrid Position)

    Job Overview:

    The National Pest Technicians Association is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking professional to fill the role of CEO. This hybrid position is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background in pest control, eager to transition into a leadership role. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the association, working collaboratively with the Office Manager and Technical Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing financials, and driving the association’s growth. This role also involves active participation in industry committees, overseeing key events such as the PestTech Exhibition and On the Road workshop days, and reporting to the Board of Directors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Vision:

    Provide visionary leadership in line with the association’s mission and values.
    Drive the growth and development of the alternative pest control association within the industry.

    Technical Expertise:

    Leverage technical expertise to enhance the association’s standing within the pest control sector.
    Be at the forefront of technological advancements and innovations in pest control.

    Financial Management:

    Take responsibility for financial oversight, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
    Identify strategic financial opportunities for the association’s sustainability and growth.

    Collaborative Management:

    Work closely with the Office Manager and Technical Manager to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
    Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

    Industry Committees:

    Represent the association on various industry committees, forums, and events.
    Stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to the association’s advocacy efforts.

    Event Oversight:

     Oversee the organisation of key events such as the PestTech Exhibition and On the Road workshop days.
     Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure successful planning, execution, and evaluation of events.

    Board Reporting:

     Report regularly to the Board of Directors, providing updates on key initiatives, financial status, and strategic plans.

    Qualifications:

    Technical Background:

    Significant technical expertise in pest control.

    Management Aspirations:

    Demonstrated interest in transitioning from a technical role to a leadership position.
    Visionary Leadership:
    Strong visionary and strategic thinking skills with a passion for the industry.

    Financial Acumen:

    Proven financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.

    Communication and Marketing:

    Excellent verbal and written communication and marketing skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders and members.
